Being involved with a sports team can be a vital part of staying active and healthy, and is an excellent opportunity for a student to share their passion for sport with others. Campus Recreation’s three sport programs offer different ways to participate: Club Sports, Intramural Sports and Open Recreation.

Campus Recreation aims for inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including those with disabilities, to engage fully. Participants requiring accommodations should contact Dave Lamothe at [email protected], 303.615.1349, at least 5 business days before an event. Requests made nearer to event dates will be supported to the best of our ability.

Club Sports

The Club Sports program provides an opportunity for students to develop their athletic interest with other students who share the same passion. All Club Sport teams are led by students, are very organized, have elected student-leadership boards, collect membership dues, practice regularly, travel off-campus and compete regionally and nationally to represent the University.

Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports program offers Campus Recreation members opportunities to participate in traditional sport and esports activities. Teams simply arrive by the start of their game and play on-campus in the Event Center (the gym). Campus Recreation provides game officials and develops the rules, and league play over the course of the semester is offered alongside one-day tournaments and events.

There are no additional fees to participate, but all players must be a student with an active Campus Recreation membership for the fall semester. Memberships can be activated at the Front Desk, PE108.

Intramural Basketball

This is an open-league with no gender-based requirements to participate and games are played on Monday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. on Center Court in the Event Center, PE117c. We keep score and league play is followed by a playoff tournament where a team will be crowned champion and receive a prize for winning it all. League format (number of games) will be confirmed after registration closes as it depends on the number of teams that register for the season.

Spring 2026 Registration is now closed.

League Schedule
(Teams will all play eachother once, and the league standings will determine seeding for the playoff tourment. The playoff tournament will be single-elimination.)
NOTE: There is a two-week gap in the league schedule due to the availability of the courts in the gym.
